Walking Through Time: Series 1
Palaeobiologist Dr Tori Herridge follows up her documentary on the mega-flood that separated Britain from continental Europe with three more investigations, all of which explore some of the prehistoric forces that shaped the national landscape.

Channel 4 - Walking Through Time: Series 1 (2016) Part 1: Scotland’s Lost Asteroid
She begins by visiting north-west Scotland, where the craggy coastline indicates an asteroid landed 1.2 billion years ago. Dr Mike Simms of Ulster Museum joins Tori as she searches for the impact crater, which would be the first of its kind discovered in mainland Britain.

Channel 4 - Walking Through Time: Series 1 (2016) Part 2: Britain’s Last Mammoth
Dr Tori Herridge and Professor Adrian Lister visit Shropshire to discuss analysis into the remains of five mammoths found in a quarry in 1986. The results revealed that these mammoths were among the last of their species to survive in Europe and Tori wonders whether this gives a clue as to how the species was wiped out altogether.

Channel 4 - Walking Through Time: Series 1 (2016) Part 3: Jurassic Coast
Dr Tori Herridge explores the Jurassic Coast of Devon and Dorset, walking from the 150-million-year-old cliffs of Kimmeridge at its eastern end, back through time to the even older red cliffs of Budleigh Salterton, to reveal why the coast is packed with world-class fossils. Along the way she encounters the biggest sea predator ever to have lived and a global disaster that nearly destroyed life on our planet.
